There are 16 total paddocks with three and four board fencing to be used by the boarded horses. Many of the paddocks have run-in sheds and all have waterers. There are two large fenced sand arenas as well as a large equipment shed.
There are two four stall barns adjacent to the boarding facility. These are both leased. Each barn has a tack room and several paddocks, run in shed, shaving storage and hay storage in the loft. These barns have access to the rings and indoor. The four stall barns have been extensively renovated and painted, a new shavings bin added, and flooring redone.
The Red Barn has new interior aisle lights, new outlets, and roof renovations. The hay shed and feed shed have been renovated and painted, and the viewing area has been updated. Several run-in sheds have been renovated as well.
The Equine facility is known as “Stone Place Stables”. The Red Barn has 23 stalls, eight paddocks, an indoor arena with an office, viewing room and bathroom. There is also separate hay storage, storage and feed building, shavings bin, manure pit, wash racks and a blacksmith area.
Stone Place Stables has an active lesson program with both privately owned and school horses. The Farm hosts a “mini trial” and several shows throughout the year. The University of Louisville Hunt Seat riding team is based out of Stone Place. Full care and field board options are offered. Trailer storage spaces are available for boarders and renters.
